Hello,

The anti-skid / traction control system works with the ABS system. The ABS sensors in the wheel works in conjunction with the tracking control system. It detects wheel spin or lock up and triggers corrective action.

There is ABS/wheel speed sensor on each wheel that monitors the rotation of the wheel and sends that information for the electronic brake control module.

If the on board diagnostic system detect any error within the ABS system, it will turn on the ABS and or the Traction control light.

I have attached diagrams of all the components that makes up the ABS / Traction control system.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
