2011 Volkswagen Golf Repair Question

Lack of power
I have a new vw golf twist 80ps -while pleased with the car overall it is very poor on hills(embarrassingly so) vw dealer says it is o.k. but they did not give it a good test on hills.only 1300miles on clock-will it get better?

Start by having the exhaust system checked for excessive backpressure-Cat could be clogging up-
