Good afternoon,

I am currently working on a 2010 Subaru Outback [3.6L, H6 (222CI)]. I have just changed the oil, brakes, and rotors, and the vehicle sounds and drives fine. On the display there are two oil "lamps" that can be illuminated, and the right one is still illuminated. I went through the user manual along with many other sources for information on the subject, however I cannot seem to turn the light off. I checked with an OBDII scanner, and received the following codes: [ID: $7E8 Physical CAN ID] ; [ID: $7E9 Physical CAN ID]. With all my research I was still unable to find a solution to either my original problem, or find what each code represented. Can you help me? If so, any and all time taken to review and respond to my issue is greatly appreciated. Please, thank you, and have a great day!

Respectfully,

Phillip

Good afternoon sir,

I greatly appreciate your first response, however shortly after I had sent the original question we resolved the issue. In response to your answer, however I own two of those very expensive OBD/SRS readers, though the codes were still giving everyone trouble. Thank you for your assistance though. Later on I will post the actual troubleshooting process and the fix for the issue.

Respectfully,

Phillip

Thanks not many have a scanner to do the reads as they run thousands of dollars for one.
