Home-link device
My father-inlaw has a Mazda 5. Does the vehicle have a home-link like divice for opening garage doors? He can't seem to find it.

If it does, it would have been an option. Check the owner's manual for location and check there. If it isn't there, chances are it wasn't ordered with one.
