2010 Honda Odyssey Multiple EX Problems

Hello,

I have several questions regarding some problems I have been having with a used 2010 Honda Odyssey EX we bought recently. I noticed that the van drifted towards the right (while the steering wheel was kept straight and horizontal), especially at high speeds on the middle lane of a 3-lane highway. Sometimes it drifted at slow speeds as well. So I decided to check the tire pressures when they were cold. They were not only unequal between the left and right sides, but also much higher (high 40 psi and low 50 psi) than those recommended in the manual (33 psi for the front and 35 psi for the back). I deflated the tires to their proper pressure. Unfortunately, the van still drifted towards the right.

I have heard that past Honda Odyssey's have had problems of drifting even after tire rotation and balance, and wheel alignment. Is it possible that a wheel alignment, tire rotation and balance might solve the drifting issue for my particular van? Or should I take it to a Honda dealer and ask them to fix something else that might cause this problem (maybe something in the suspension system)? What do you recommend?

I have also noticed that releasing some air to bring the tire pressures to normal has caused the vehicle to become slightly sluggish. Should I overinflate by a few psi or would it be best to leave it? I was thinking that might help with nighttime since the outside temperature drops at night. Also, do Honda Odyssey vans have to be driven at particular speeds or in a special way when driven uphill?

My third concern is that I hear a slight ringing noise on the outside when the van is at idle or not moving, especially when the air conditioner is on. Is this normal?

The Odyssey also has a rear right window with electrical grids/contacts going across the glass in different ways (I am guessing for defogging/defrosting purposes just like the rear window itself), but the rear left window does not. Is this normal for 2010 Honda Odysseys?

Finally, I have attached a picture of a worn rubber seal/molding (green arrow in picture) of the right side sliding door. I replaced it with a new one I bought from a Honda dealer, but without any special glue or adhesives. There is also a tiny gap between the shiny black metal (white arrow) and the new rubber seal. I noticed that the black metal is a little loose, and there is also a gap between the shiny metal and the silver part on the bottom (red arrow). Is all of this going to cause rusting and corrosion problems in the long run? Would rainwater go in and cause damage or can I leave it?

Thanks!

1. Drifting is not normal. You need the front and rear suspension checked for worn out parts, then get it aligned. A dealer does not have to do it. Any shop can help you with this. The tires need to be a factory pressures. Keep them at the 33 recommended.

2. With pressures that high at 40 to 50 the ride will be different in regards to ride. It will be like a roller coaster. Returning to normal pressures will feel different till you get used to it.

3. No defogger on a window the driver cannot see out of.

4. The gaps need to be gone. It will leak water and the result will be rust at the least.
