The rattle is intermitant. Come and goes from the left front wheel to the right. Makes the noise on flat ground, over bumps at diffrent speeds, one I put it into 4wd it goes away. Checked all the heat shields, dust shields. Ect it the noise is coming from the right I can turn left and it will make the noise if I turn right it goes away. Same for the oppisite side.

More than likely the auto locking hubs a not disengaged all the way, most of the ones I have heard make more of a clicking noise, I believe they are vacuum operated and the seal in them leaks vacuum resulting in being half engaged resulting in the rattle/cliking noise, or in some cases it may be vacuum supply, like a leaking or broken vacuum hose going to the hub, but in most cases the hub itself is bad, hope this helps.
