I test drove this car today and I am in love with it. The only thing is, when I was driving I noticed while slowing down, it made a very small clunk sound. It's an automatic. It didnt happen each time but when I would slow down and it was downshifting from 2nd to 1st, you could hear a small clunk noise from under the car. My friend thinks it could be the transmission. Any thoughts?

Very doubtful. You'll have plenty of other issues but transmissions don't usually make clunking noises. A broken or collapsed engine mount is a better suspect. These cars don't have an unusual amount of steering and suspension problems but consider having those systems inspected at a tire and alignment shop. That takes less than a half hour, and some shops do it for free or very low cost.
