2009 Saturn Aura Alignment(?)

When I turn the steering wheel it make a sound like someone lightly strummed on a guitar. Could it just be
out of alignment or something more serious?

That could be binding ball joints, strut plates or other steering components. It needs to be checked more closely usually by putting your hands on each component while someone else turns the wheel to reproduce the noise. You will feel a vibration when you have the right part. Just don't get your fingers caught in anything when the wheel turns.
