2009 Proton Savvy No Start

My 2009 Savvy AMT sometimes shows no sign of starting - will just flatten battery. However it starts easily by pushing with 3rd gear selected. Runs well. Have replaced fuses, and checked fuse and relay connex. I am a retired Electronics Engineer with good circuit knowledge. Any ideas?

If the problem occurs after extended non starting, it is caused by loss of compression. This engine tends to be difficult to start under such circumstances.
