Twice in the last two weeks, my tail lights have come on by themselves. In both cases, it had been at least 24hrs since I had last driven my car. In both cases, using the remote key fob to lock/unlock didn't fix the problem, nor did stepping on the brake pedal. Both times, the second I started the engine, the lights turned off, no issues. Could this be the brake switch or could it be an old battery causing a short?
