2009 Hyundai Accent Clutch Problem

Today I was coming home from lunch with my brother. I had no problems with the clutch in my car until now. When I was getting off the exit of the highway I pushed in my clutch, in which I coasted to a stop at the end of it. About halfway from the stop I put it in 1st gear. But kept the clutch in. I simply did this so that when I came to a stop I could let out on the clutch and go. But when I let out the clutch at the stop it stuck to the floor for about a second or two. Then it came to my foot. I thought it was ok to go then so I touched the gas, but it just revved up the engine. I then pushed the clutch back in. Double checked that I was in 1st gear, and let out on the clutch a second time. It stuck again but not as much as the 1st time. I then touched the gas pedal. This only caused the clutch to burn up. I immediately shut off the car. Pushed it off to the side of the road. I then waited about 5 minutes to start up my car. And it wouldn't even start up.

Check to see if your release arm is all the way out meaning it won't move inwards to push clutch in. If it doesnt' there are two things tha may be wrong, the release bearing was pushed through the pressure plate or the hydraulics/cable have messed up and need fixing. Like a new cable or mastercylinder/slave cylinder. If it won't start check the battery for condition including load test first.
