Changing brakes on 09 Dodge Journey. Caliper piston came out far enough to release seal on boot. used C clamp to push piston back in, but once it was all the way in oil seeped out from seal. Should this be ok?"

Put it back all together and see if it leaks if so replace caliper piston seal

Make shore you purge the air from that wheel. If fluid came out there might be air in the system.
