The oil dipstick broke off in the tube. How do I get it out?

Take the engine out, turn it upside-down, and shake it! OR, ... Remove the oil pan, then push the stick out. OR.... If the tube won't move, drill a hole in the middle of the plastic, then run in a thin self-tapping screw that you can pull on. OR, ... And this is my favorite, make a small tube out of a piece of paper, slide that all the way down to the stick, then mix up a tiny spot of epoxy, and glue the handle or some other piece of metal to the stick. Let that set up overnight, then pull the stick out. The paper will prevent the glue from sticking to the tube.
