Could 2008 Suzuki xl7 fuel filter cleaned (open its cap and clean it ) and return back to the tank.

It is a sealed unit and such filters cannot be cleaned.

But when I look at the filter I see a cover and could be opened and its not sealed.

Sorry for the error.

The filter inside the housing is a disposible cartridge made of paper element and cannot be cleaned.
