Good day,

My opel corsa 1.4 utility had a problem as my girlfriend over filled the oil.
I opened the motor and realized the head casket has been blown so I replaced it, now I need to get the oil pump of as to inspect and clean it, I did loosen all bolts and did remove the two gears but still cant get the pump off it only moves a little bit then get stuck, is it necessary to remove the sump or not?

Thanks

How much was the oil over-filled? Doing that will not hurt the cylinder head gasket or the oil pump. The oil pump is filled with oil all the time an it has no idea how much is outside it in the crankcase. The head gasket seals passages where pressurized oil circulates around the engine and other passages where it drains back down. The oil pump produces that pressure and it's not going to increase just because there's more oil.

What is the original symptom or problem you're trying to solve?
