Nissan Altima Rpm Problem
What causes my transmission to stay in second gear and not change out the rpms will raise way up and drop down quickly then the car will go really slow. the indicator light will not show what gear you are in on the dash and the car will smoke from the tail pipe. it is a 2008 nissan altima 2.5 sl

If the indicator is not showing, the transmisison does not know what it is supposed to do. you need to check what is cauing it, a fault with the wiring or Park and Neutral Position switch.
