2008 Mercedes Benz 300 Repair Question

Benz C300 fan/radiator
Noticed steam coming from in front of my mercedes. C 300 (2008). I lifted hood and noticed the fan not running and steam coming out from what looked like a hose. Is it a case of simply replacing belt or is there cause for concern?

Could be overheating and leaking out of the hose due to fan not coming on. Check the coolant temperature sensor/gauge switch
