where is the location of the thermostat on 2008 mazda 5?

I own a 08 mazda 5, i just noticed that the temp gage is maxed out when i go up hills. When I look under the hood, there are no signs of an overheat, all coolant levels are normal. the gage goes back to normal when driving on flat ground. my conclusion is a bad thermostat.
