IS THERE AN AT HOME TEST I CAN DO TO CHECK MY MAF SENSOR TO SEE IF IT IS GOOD?

2008 Ford Fusion • 97,666 miles

2008 Ford Fusion, replaced MAF sensor because CEL came on. It stayed on until yesterday when the car began to stall out and hesitate while pressing the accelerator. I ordered an air pump because this is what I am now being told the issue is. I am wondering if the New MAF sensor I put in is bad or not. And if so is there a way around this without the purchase of another?

Could be caused by one of the following below

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Knock sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it and keep testing.
