While driving my Escape, once I release my foot from the accelerator, the vehicle starts to make a noise. This does not happen when I accelerate, only when I remove my foot from the accelerator. There is no braking being applied.

If you are in overdrive gear then there will be no braking it will coast until it gets to a slow enough speed to change to braking. Have a local pro listen to the noise as it can be anything, tires axles etc

Check your vacuum lines under hood (especially the PCV hose). Sometimes if a vehicle has a large vacuum leak it can be heard as a whistling noise during deceleration. Also check the belt to see if it has enough tension ( a loose belt can make a squealing noise - however it usually happens on start up or acceleration).
