I have a 2008 dodge avenger and it overheats and seems to lose pick-up. It is very inconsistent and have had to a dealer and local repair and no one can tell what is going on -Any ideas on what to do?
Inconsitent. It can happen after being on the road awhile or even while driving just a mile. The only way to have it cool if you are driving is to turn the heat on for and it will go down..

Could be airlock bleed the cooling system and see what happens
