2008 Dodge Avenger Repair Question

The car doesn't takeoff when shifting on " D "
My 2008 Avenger 2.4L automatic transaxle doesn't move when placing the gear selector to "D" until i press on the accelerator pedal ,please help .

sounds like a weak front pump. you need a trans shop to check the pressure and verify. it may have to come out and be overhauled.
