I did an oil change on an 2008, Chrysler Sebring and the *change oil* reading wont go off

You need to reset it as it is not going to go off by itself. If you refer to the owner's manual, it should have the instructions.

Try this to see if it works.

OIL CHANGE REQUIRED MESSAGE RESET -PROCEDURE 1
NOTE:
The message can be temporarily turned off by pressing and
releasing the Trip Odometer button in instrument cluster.

1. To reset oil change indicator after performing scheduled
maintenance, turn ignition on, with engine off.

2. Fully depress accelerator pedal slowly 3 times within 10 seconds.

3. Turn ignition off. Start engine. If indicator message illuminates when engine is started, repeat reset procedure.
