I have a 2008 chevy silverado 1500, with a 5.3L/V8. I installed a voltage stabilizer last night because my sound system frequently drained my battery very low, however when i went to start it this morning it went into the run position on the key sequence however it would not crank over. After a couple tries the whole dash flashed and everything turned off. As of now even with a battery charger connected, none of the inner electronics work not even the overhead light or power-lock? do I need a new battery or does this sound like a more serious problem?
