I have a chevy hhr. It had a very loud clunking noise especially when on a bumpy road. I replaced the struts and found that the strut mounts were wallowed out and replaced them as well. The noise is still there but no where near as loud. On a nice even road it runs smooth and no noise. I suspected the bushings and I jacked up the car and checked for wheel play but there is none. Any ideas or suggestions?
