Buick Enclave Noise Problem

ABOUT 10,000 MILES AGO MY FWD ENCLAVE DEVELOPED A WHINNY NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE I THINK AS IT INCREASES AND DECREASES WITH THE RPM'S OF THE MOTOR. I NOTICE IT MOST WHEN I SLOW DOWN AND COME TO A STOP OR START UP FROM A STOP. I CHECKED ALL THE FLUIDS AND THEY ARE FULL. I WAS TOLD THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH 08 ENCLAVES AND IT IS THE TIMMING BELT??? CAN YOU HELP THANKS

the enclave has a timing chain not a belt but spray some water on your belt for alternator, if the noise stops it's probably coming from there. Belt replacement along with tensionner is sguggested at 60,000 miles so you are due. also there is a tsb on using a laser alignment tool as teh pulleys may be out of alignment which will cause noise as well.
