2007 Volkswagen Jetta Engine light

The code indicates there is a very small leak in the EVAP system. Check the following:

- Loose fuel cap
- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap
- EVAP canister or fuel tank leaks
- EVAP system hose leaking
- Fuel tank leak

NOTE: Often times it is as simple as the fuel cap not tight enough or not sealing. If that isn't the case, I recommend having the EVAP system smoke tested. Basically, smoke is put into the system. Where the leak is located, the smoke leaks out. If you try to find it by just looking, it is really hard to find.
