2007 Mitsubishi L200 Engine miss

There is an engine miss. It doesn't come often. When accelerator paddle is pushed, the engine revolution drops suddenly and then comes back with a jerk. When connected to the diagnosis box, no fault is shown in the computer. The diesel filter is only used for little over 5000 km. 100000 km maintenance done about a year ago. Pls advice what could be causing this fault.

Have the throttle position circuit checked.

Appreciate your prompt reply. The problem was with the quality of the fuel. Sediments have got accumulated in the fuel tank. The fuel becomes contaminated by that. Tank was cleaned and fuel filter replaced. Didn't experience an engine knock after that.
