I have a Mariner and the security Alarm goes off when no one is around it or in

car looks at hood, trunk, doors for closing along with many other functions. hard to guess. a shop with a scan tool can monitor the system and see where the failure lies

Could it be the battery is getting low

yes if the car battery is low voltage, it will go off but you would have other issues as well
