Whenever I am driving and let off the gas it feels as if the car down shifts, but the gear doesn't change. You can feel all the power go away. It is almost as if the brakes are applied but they aren't. There are two codes showing up, one for catalytic converter, and the other for output speed shaft sensor. Took to dealer and they said they couldn't find any problem.

Have a trans guy look at it If you have a code then it's either a wiring issue for speed sensor and converter may be shot. Converters are warrantied for 80k so call mazda see if theywill helpyou on on that.

I already took it to transmission shop, they couldn't find anything either. He cleared the code but it came back on about 15 miles later and now code is reading 02 sensor.

Have your battery checked for condition including load test it may be weak causing this problem also it could be belt and tensioner as they are supposed to be replaced at 60k. Other than that I can't think of anything that would cause it.
