Mazda 5 Battery Problem

My 2007 Mazda 5 is dead. No keyless entry, no lights on the dash, no headlights, no horn. Everything electrical is dead. I checked all the fuses, none appear blown. I disconnected the the battery and reconnected, then I was able to unlock the door with the keyless entry switch (once) and when I turned the key in the ignition switch it died again.
There were no symptoms leading up to this situation. All seemed normal when the car was parked yesterday afternoon.
