Sporadically when putting into drive there will be no response from the accelerator. The engine doesn't kill but it won't go. The wrench icon flashes on the screen. I put it in neutral, kill the engine, restart it and then it's fine. Might only happen once or twice a week and never at highway speeds, only upon start up when shifting to drive.

Fly by wire system is failing. There are 2 parts. The throttle body and the pedal sensor. You need a shop to track down the failure for you. It will get worse soon. Neither part is cheap. Check for any warranty on your vehicle that will cover the costs.
