How to remove and re-install the transmission oil filter? The location of the transmission oil filter a schematic would help. In the Lincoln there should be only one option for a engine and transmission. Zepher had a 3.0. Fusion, Milan had I believe three options. The MKZ had no options in so far as engine or transmission. What I can find all 3.5's had the six speed. Code B. The VIN is 3LNHM28T37R663912 production date 05-07. Does a MKZ offer any other transmission?

This filter is inside the transmission and is non serviceable (screen). Here is a guide that shows how to service the unit and below is a diagrams that shows the filter inside:

My first question is what transmission, code B. This is a 2007 mkz 3.5. I sent code, VIN, date of production. The mkz only has a 3.5 and a 6 speed transmission as far as I know there are no options to this. The fusion and Milan have some options in so far as engine and transmission. What is the procedure to remove and replace the transmission oil filter? Schematic might help? Thanks, Dave

You have two options on this vehicle. There is a 5 speed option but the 6 speed is standard.

Take a look at the attachment below that shows the options.

However, the 5 speed is mostly used on base models and fleet options like rental cars.

Most all vehicles have the 6 speed.

Please let us know if you have other questions. Thanks
