I have a 2007 kia spectra. my battery died and my son replaced it with his battery from his 1994 grand marquis. the car is starting, but the power locks are not working when the care if off, and the radio is not working when the care is on.

he also told me that my positive and negative post was on the opposite side from his so he had to turn the battery around to connect the positive and negative post to the correct wire.

what did we do wrong and how can i resolve?
