engine sounds like a sewing machine or airplane

3.0L DOHC V6 AWD when you drive the car the faster you go the higher the sound or pitch gets and when you slow down the slower and lower it gets. took it to my mechanic and ruled out wheel bearings. before I go to a dealer what my I be looking at.
