Bought a freestyle used today, had problems before I made it to the highway. Most of the time driving the transmission throttle error icon shows up (looks like a wrench) and I seem to be stuck in first gear. I cant go more than 40 mph and my rpms are up to 4000. Sometimes the light goes off, and it runs normal. Whats wrong?

Hello,

This sounds like the car is in limp mode or the transmission input shaft sensor needs to be replaced to be sure we should run the codes here are two guides to help us with the transmission input shaft sensor.
