I place the car in Drive and accelerate to about 25mph. After a few hundred yards, acceleration will quit and the car comes to an almost immediate stop (tires squeal) as if the vehicle was slammed into Park. The engine idles so I take the vehicle out of Drive, place into Park, and then back into Drive and the vehicle seems to operate ok. This only has happened when the vehicle was cold.

FYI, I have a service appointment set for 11/2 but I want to make sure this is not going to happen at a higher rate of speed on an interstate as opposed to a side road.
