2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser car sat for about 2 years.

My girlfriends car has been in her garage for about 2 years. It sat there while she battled with her ex. Anyways. My questions can I change the battery, the oil and add a gasoline additive and then try to start it. It has always been inside and I am wondering if that may have helped in preserving it from serious damage. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You can try to see if it will start, but chances are the fuel in it is no good and will not run the engine. If it does run, it may run poorly. Try to see if you are lucky, but if it doesn't start, you will need to remove the old fuel, replace the fuel filter, blow out the fuel line. Basically, you will need to clean all the old fuel from the system.
