2007 Chevrolet Impala Repair Question

Regarding side impact airbags.
I have a 2007 Chevrolet Impala. The drivers SIDE IMPACT airbags deployed when i was T-boned by another vehicle. What is the proceedure that a mechanic follows in order to replace them? And how much does it typically cost?

bags need to be replaced, wiring, crash sensors and module. very expensive job performed by qualified people only.
