I own a 2007 Chevy Impala (V6-3500)and we get the oil changed routinely. Earlier today the car hesitated at a stop sign. When I got home I checked the engine oil and noticed that their was not oil on the dipstick. I ended up adding 2.5 quarts.to it and was wondering if being short that many quarts would cause it to hesitate or shake like it did. Their was no check engine oil light that came on but we do have an oil life expectancy notification display which is currently reading 20%.
