How do you change a passenger seat sensor? The airbag light is on and I got it scanned and I got this code B0074?
Do you
have the same problem?

This is how you gather the codes for an airbag in case anyone reading this whats to know.

The code you have is for the passengers side weight sensor problem. I would check the fuses first and then check the wiring to confirm the failure. Here are guides to help you see what I'm talking about. The codes will clear themselves once the problem is fixed

I would first check for a wire issue and also unplug the sensor and. See if the terminals are loose or open. If everything looks okay replace the sensor.

There is a fault in the supplemental restraint system and it will require the problem to be identified and corrected before that light will go out. Here is a video that will show you how.

On a 2007 Equinox, the wires go to the seat sensor. It isn't just a switch it actually sends the passengers weight information to the system to tell it if there is a person in the seat and how hard it should deploy the airbags to handle that weight. There are 4 wires to the module. One is Red with a white stripe, that is battery power, another is Black with a white stripe and that is the ground. The two green wires are the data lines to the SRS module that tells it how much the person in the seat weighs.
Now if you have the 2005 version there is no sensor.
