Oil light came on and the car lost power and shut off now it wont start?

I couldn't get the hood open for a couple of months well yesterday the oil light came on and the car lost power and shut off now it wont start

Hello,

You could have severely low oil and lost oil pressure and shut the engine.

But first you will have to get the hood open.
Do you have a broken latch or handle?
You can access the hood latch from under the vehicle. You should be able to reach up from the bottom and reach the latch cable and pull to release it.

Check the oil, if low add.
If it is at proper level you could have a different issue like a faulty oil pump or a sensor that triggered the engine to shout down.
