I went to a mechanic and had my engine diagnosed. The temp sensor was bad. I had no problems with the engine running. I just replaced the temp sensor. It is working ok, but the light is still on. Is there a reset on it to turn off light?

Hello,

In a lot of cases it takes 500 - 1000 miles of driving or 50 - 100 car starts to clear a code. I recommend going back and ask them to recheck codes and if same code to clear it. However, on most newer vehicles there are two sensors. A Coolant Temp Sensor - Controls Electric Fans and an Engine Temp Sensor - Control Dash Gauge or Light.
