So I drove out of town and I'm in a bit of a predicament, my car was fine then my abs light and check engine light came on. Telling me traction loss flashing across the bottom then my car slowed and lost sterling so I parked checked and noticed the negative cable was loose so I tighten it up waited an hour, and started it right back up. The battery light came on and would not go away. I drove all day to try and get it charge I took the positive cable off to see if sensor would reset. So I started the car up this morning and it started but ten mins of it be in idle it died The lock sign keeps pooping up and it's clicking trying to turn over. I'm just out of town and trying to decide if it's just a battery or more. So my question is can a battery cause the problems I had?

Because the cable was loose i'd say yes, have battery checked for condition including load test. After reset security system if no manual look online. Then have codes erased and start over. A pro will have to reset abs and trac control.
