My turn signal won't work on my drivers side. My power windows wont roll up. On the dash board theres a red car that lights up and beeps telling me I got a door open but when I close all the doors it still beeps. The lights on the locks work for for all other doors except the drivers side. Theres a yelllow light indicating a light bulb is out. That comes and goes as does the red light. The floor lights stay on when im driving acting like I didnt shut a door or something could you please help me with this problem? I'm not sure if its just the drivers side or do I have to look at other sides too? Nothing is wrong with the other doors except the drivers.

Youll need to remove the l/f door panel and check the lock assy. There is a switch on the lock assy. Maybe someone tryed to slim jim your car.

Removing the door panel won't gain you access to the door locks. You have to remove the outer door shell to gain access to the latch assembly.

I can say with complete confidence that your door harness needs to be replaced. I do about 1 every other day at VW on mk5 jetta's. To test it, open up the door fully, look in between the door and body, you see a thick corded rubber piece. Remove the rubber from the body side of the harness with a little pick or flathead, and pull the rubber as far back as you can. You'll see about 20-25 wires. Inspect them all, you'll probably notice that the large orange wire is broken. If so, replace the harness.
