2006 Pontiac Vibe Repair Question

High Idle Problem
2006 Pontiac Vibe, 1.8 liter engine/ When cold the engine idles at 2k R.P.M. until it becomes warm. This has just started. It always idled at 800-900 R.P.M. What could be the problem?

Most likely faulty Engine Coolant Sensor Located on engine there are two different engines see diagram for locations
