What does a loud ticking sound?
My car is making a loud ticking sound under the hood it's pretty consistent i hear it loudest when i accelerate the gas, i put oil in the car and there is a small oil leak i just got the car a couple months ago. i just had my starter replaced today!

there are so many possibilities for the noise. get someone to listen to it to determine if it is coming from the motor, trans, belt area or fans by the rad.
