What is the procedure to remove the AC Evaporator on a 2006 G6 GTP 3.9 Motor. I have the front dash apart and every bolt that I can find to remove the bottom of the housing, but it doesn't want to come apart to remove the Evaporator. I also removed everything that looks like it might be connected to the housing and the AC lines in the motor compartment.

I'm going to try this for the 3rd time. I keep getting a blank page and it doesn't send. Ugh!

Remove HVAC module assembly
Remove the center floor air outlet duct screws (pic 1) (pic 2)
Remove the center floor air outlet duct
Drill out the lower HVAC module case heat stakes
Remove the lower HVAC module case
Remove the thermal expansion valve screws (pic 3)
Remove the thermal expansion valve
Remove and discard the sealing washers
Remove the evaporator (pic 4)

NOTE: I have been having uploading pics. If you don't receive them, let me know. I will try to explain.

Thanks for the info. I have the heater core out and thermal expansion valve out along with 1/2 of the CenterFloor Outlet Duct apart but for some reason I can not get the back left side to drop down or come apart. I did some prying but heard the plastic making a not so favorable sound so I stopped. There is something holding it together next to the firewall. I looked everywhere for a hidden bolt or plastic stake but didn't see anything. Do you have an idea of what might be holding it together. If you get a change I can be reached during the day at 330-922-2026 or my home 330-812-0123 if you need addtional info. I have been working on cars for more than 35 yrs. And have never seen anything like this.

Thanks Tim

Tim:

Is it the floor duct work that you can't get apart?
