Oil pressure
I have a 2006 nissan 350Z track , i have low oil pressure ( just above "0" ) and a knocking noise . the motor is full of oil . when i check the oil , it is all the way up the dip-stick ., could this be a oil pump problem ?

Chcking with engine off level ground? does oil smell of gas?

Could be if you check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge to rule it out-contributing factors could be excessive valve lash/valve lifters/engine bearings etc-
