2006 Mitsubishi Truck Repair Question

My engine pings upon start-up but stops within 5 minutes of running idle.
If the engine has sat for over 20 minutes it will ping on start up for around 5 minutes. There appears to be no loss of power and the idle and acceleration is smooth. If the engine is oly shut down for a short time there is a slight ping at start up which dimineshes withen a minute.
